Description
The project is funded by a FHWA grant with the goal to provide more efficient, affordable, and accessible transportation options for underserved communities/individuals. UB and the Region were awarded funding to address mobility opportunities and challenges in and around the BNMC, especially focusing on addressing the "first/last" mile problem for people with disabilities. Planned deployments include an open trip planner (OTP), electric AV shuttle, smart intersection technology, low–cost sidewalk interventions, and improvements to outdoor wayfinding.
