Architecture Scope
The scope of the Regional ITS Architecture can be described in terms of: 1) the size of the region and jurisdictions covered (geographic scope), 2) the planning or time horizon, and 3) the variety of transportation services that are covered. This scope is defined in the context of adjacent and overlapping Regional ITS Architectures.
Description
This regional architecture is hosted and maintained by the Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition (NITTEC) on behalf of its member agencies, including New York State Department of Transportation's (NYSDOT) Region 5.
Time Frame: Through 2040 (10 to 15 Years)
Geographic Scope
The NITTEC region encompasses the four counties of Western New York (Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus) and the Niagara Region of Southern Ontario, Canada.
Service Scope
The architecture encompasses incident management, traveler information, ITS project management, and stakeholder collaboration.
